Overview

Enzyme Discovery is a service that is included in INDUSTRY but can also be ordered separately. For INDUSTRY, enzymes are discovered and selected during the Adaption phase based on customer water treatment profile to meet treatment requirement and goal. Single enzymes or multiple enzymes (enzyme blends or mixtures) for broad- or precision water treatment are discovered to obtain certain customer specific chemical goal. Single enzymes are often used in treatment of a few organic compounds with similar chemical structure. Multiple enzymes with broad enzymatic activity towards many different organic compounds are used to treat water containing various types or organic compounds. For precision water treatment, enzyme cascade reactions are designed based on multiple enzymes. Multiple enzymes or enzyme blends are included in one Zymatic sand.

Separate from INDUSTRY, enzymes and other proteins can be discovered, produced and/or immobilized using the Zymatic technology platform. Starting from a gene, Zymatic can deliver enzymes or proteins in free or immobilized form. Customized projects are designed depending on customer need.

Make use of the ZYMATIC Technology Platform

Facilitate your own enzymes and proteins using the Zymatic immobilization plattform

Overview

The Zymatic Technology Platform was developed to use enzymes efficiently and sustainably for low-cost water treatment. The Zymatic Technology Platform is based on three cornerstones of knowledge: Enzymes (including enzyme discovery, enzyme development and production), Material Technology (including material types and material surface treatment) and Protein Immobilization Technology (coupling chemistry between surface-treated material and enzyme). Water treatment at high flows places high demands on the hydrolytic stability of the zymatic sand.

 

The Zymatic Technology Platform can be utilized for other purposes than water treatment. For example, enzymes can be discovered to perform a specific chemical reaction or multiple cascade reactions. Also, enzymes or other types of proteins can be produced given the DNA sequence or protein sequence. Plasmids containing the gene of interest can be designed and protein expression protocol can be developed. Enzymes and proteins can be delivered in free or immobilized form. Enzymes or other proteins immobilized using the Zymatic Technology Platform are used with a ZYMATIC agreement and licence. General support is provided for the utilization of the Zymatic Technology Platform.

Water Analysis

Analysis for both municipal wastewater treatment plants and industries

Overview

Water analysis is important for understanding water composition, for detecting and quantifying polluting organic compounds and forms the basis of each customer's water treatment profile. Water analysis is offered to facilitate the water treatment profile process, during INDUSTRY ADAPTION and SMART/INDUSTRY PILOT or during the implementation of ZYMATIC Standard Solutions to determine the removal efficiency of targeted organic compounds. Water analysis and method development using LCMS or HPLC and can also be ordered independently of water treatment as a separate project.
